HeartCode ACLS

HeartCode® ACLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow participants to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. To enter the course, participants must complete a precourse self-assessment. Participants will then be presented with a team dynamics lesson and 10 In-hospital patient cases, including a BLS case and 2 megacode cases.

Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, participants must pass the written exam with a score of 84%. Participants then are able to attend the hands-on session required for full course completion.

Cost: $232.00 (includes online key, skills check, and AHA card)

Course Content

 After successfully completing the HeartCode ACLS Course, including the online portion, followed by the hands-on skills session, students should be able to

  • Apply the BLS, Primary, and Secondary Assessments sequence for a systematic evaluation of adult patients
  • Perform prompt, high-quality BLS, including prioritizing early chest compressions and integrating early AED use
  • Recognize and perform early management of respiratory arrest
  • Discuss early recognition and management of ACS and stroke, including appropriate disposition
  • Recognize and perform early management of bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias that may result in cardiac arrest or complicate resuscitation outcome
  • Recognize and perform early management of cardiac arrest until termination of resuscitation or transfer of care, including immediate post–cardiac arrest care
  • Model effective communication as a member or leader of a high-performance team
  • Evaluate resuscitative efforts during a cardiac arrest through continuous assessment of CPR quality, monitoring the patient’s physiologic response, and delivering real-time feedback to the team
  • Recognize the impact of team dynamics on overall team performance
  • Discuss how the use of a rapid response team or medical emergency team may improve patient outcomes
  • Define systems of care

 

HeartCode® BLS

HeartCode BLS uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach participants BLS knowledge and skills.

After completing the online portion, students attend a structured BLS Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing.

HeartCode BLS is for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal BLS Course.

Heartsaver® CPR AED Online

Heartsaver CPR AED Online has been updated to reflect new science from the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR & ECC. The skills learned in this course will help you recognize cardiac arrest, get emergency care on the way quickly, and help a person until EMS arrives.

Heartsaver CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver CPR AED Blended Learning Course and teaches information needed for CPR and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, participants must complete a hands-on session with an AHA Instructor.

Cost: $65.00 (includes online key, skills check, and AHA card)

  • Participants have the convenience of completing the course at their own pace at work, home, or wherever Internet access is available
  • Can be used for initial or renewal training
  • Includes interactive exercises and videos to engage students and provide periodic points of knowledge transference

100% classroom training means students are with an AHA Instructor for their entire learning experience.

Heartsaver CPR AED
 is an instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements - or who just wants to learn and become certified in CPR/AED use. This class is NOT for healthcare providers.

Heartsaver® First Aid Online

Heartsaver First Aid Online has been updated to reflect new science from the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR & ECC and the 2015 AHA/Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid. This course covers first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.

Heartsaver First Aid Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid Blended Learning Course. Upon completion of the online portion, participants must complete a hands-on session with an AHA Instructor.

Cost: $65.00 (includes online key, skills check, and AHA card)

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Online

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online has been updated to reflect new science from the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR & ECC and the 2020 AHA/Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid. This course is designed to prepare participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Blended Learning Course. It teaches students information needed to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

After completing the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.

Upon successful completion of both portions of the course, students receive a Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years.

HeartCode PALS

HeartCode® PALS is an online comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow participants to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, participants apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development.

To enter the course, participants must complete the PALS Precourse Self-Assessment. Participants are then presented with 12 patient cases and a team dynamics lesson. Cases may be repeated as many times as necessary to pass. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, participants must pass the multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84%.

Participants who successfully complete the online portion of the course receive a certificate granting them access to a PALS Hands-on Session with an AHA PALS Instructor. Students must successfully complete both the online portion and the hands-on session to receive a PALS Provider course completion card.

Cost: $222.00 (includes online key, skills check, and AHA card)

This Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED course is developed through the Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI) and will be delivered to the employees of Guerbet by it's contractor, Code Blue Resources

This course is based on the 2020 International Consensus Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC), 

This course will consist for two parts: 1) an interactive, online course estimated to take 5 hours to complete; 2) an in-person hands-on session with an instructor that will allow you to practice your skills in First Aid, CPR and the use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED). You will be notifed by David Killion of Guerbet when the hands-on session has been scheduled.
